Singer/songwriter Bénabar emerged at the forefront of France's "chanson réaliste" motion, crafting uncommonly literary portraits of modern-day life informed by folk, jazz, and celluloid. Born Bruno Nicolini on June 16, 1969, in the Paris suburbia of Essonne, he began perusal trumpet at age octet, and afterwards completing school exhausted vI months in the U.S. There his longtime fascination with filmmaking grew, and upon returning plate he trained as a lensman and moving-picture show technician, at age 20 written material and guiding his first-class honours degree short film, Aught Lezard.
